Preparing For Your Appointment
Any unwanted body hair should be at least ¼” long. Please refrain from any heavy exfoliation at least 24 hours before your appointment. On the day of your appointment, make sure to cleanse the area being waxed, so the skin is moist, but not greasy from oils or lotions. If you are scheduled for a Bikini, Modest Brazilian or Brazilian, be sure to bring loose fitting pants for after your appointment.
What Is The Brazilian Wax Vs Modest Brazilian?
The Brazilian Wax removes all hair from your nether regions as painlessly as possible. You may choose to have everything taken off, or to leave a shape on the front. Most people choose a strip or a triangle. Please be very specific when letting your Aesthetician know what you want. When I say “all” hair, I mean every last strand from front to back.
Think of a Modest Brazilian as a deep bikini. We will remove all of the hair, minus the lips and the backside.
Does Waxing Hurt?
Of course it hurts; but overtime, and with frequent waxing maintenance your hair will begin to grow back sparser and finer, making the experience much less painful. Any unwanted body hair should be at least ¼” long.
FYI: You may not want to wax four (4) days before, or four (4) days after your menstrual cycle. You will find it is a little more painful on these days.
Can I Use A Numbing Cream Before I Wax?
We would rather you didn’t. Numbing creams can interfere with the application of the wax or, in certain situations, cause allergic reactions. Please let your Aesthetician know if you have applied a numbing cream before your appointment.
Will I Be Uuncomfortable After My Wax?
Yes. If this is your first time getting a Brazilian Wax, you will be much more sensitive. We recommend taking at least one Aleve before and after your waxing appointment. Please do NOT use any Ibuprofen or Tylenol prior to wax because it can cause bruising.
When Can't I Wax?
We cannot wax you if you fall under any of the following categories:
- You are using any Retinol products on your bikini line or face; Retin A, Renova, Tazorac Avage, etc.
- You are using Accutane.
- You have any kind of sunburn, laser burn, pustules or breakouts on the area to be waxed.
- If you are Diabetic, you may be waxed, but we must have a note from your Physician on file.
